Spanish fallow deer thrive in a variety of landscapes, from rolling oak woodlands and Mediterranean scrub to vast private hunting estates known as "fincas." The combination of rich feeding grounds and selective management has led to outstanding genetics, with many bucks developing deep palms, wide spreads, and remarkable mass.

The rut, known as “La Ronca”, is an electrifying time to hunt, as dominant bucks let out deep, guttural croaks to challenge rivals and gather their harems. This is when the forest comes alive with the sounds of competition, offering some of the most intense and rewarding fallow deer stalking opportunities anywhere in the world.
